Ultratainer Inc., a world leader in the design, customization, manufacture, supply, and lifecycle management of specialized container systems, has been awarded a contract by Rheinmetall Canada to supply 42 modular Water Storage Unit (WSU) systems in support of the Advanced Sub-Unit Water Purification System (ASUWPS) for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).

The first ASUWPS system has been delivered to the CAF through Rheinmetall Canada, the prime contractor, following the successful completion of rigorous road and cross-country testing at the Canadian Army’s 5th Canadian Division Support Base (5 CDSB) in Gagetown, New Brunswick. These trials confirmed the system’s durability, mobility, and operational readiness under demanding field conditions.

Each Water Storage Unit system includes:

- 12 Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) with integrated liners and thermal blankets.

- A connector kit with hoses, valves, and faucets.

- Three filling stations per system to support rapid water distribution in field environments.
